Better to buy PHEVs from China than ICE vehicles. Fuel consumption is an issue with most ICE SUVs.
Plse compare the T1 to the T2 regarding the throttle issues ? Same motor , same gearbox -so are they the same? Towrite Durban offer a normal straight removable tow bar for the T1 that fits the existing fitting
It's a terrible car but you won't be disappointed
Sorry bro. Poor review. You trying to remember your notes but keep going blank.
The most negative review I've ever heard.
I'm not convinced, I'll keep my Outlander.
I will continue driving my 2017, 1.4 Tsi VW Jetta. Best fuel consumption 3.5L doing 110Km and a range of about 1200 on the freeway
Car journalist are just the worst.
The throttle response is something you get used very quickly. In fact if you have ever driven any other DCT, its practically second nature.
There is no 'lurching back and forth' as he claims. He must be a terrible driver.
Then he says the T2 is much better. However the T2 has the exact same throttle response, but he does not mention at all that the T2 is a much smaller car than the T1.
He says it drives awefull, is unsafe and unpleasant, but good value and youbwont be disappointed. I mean at this stage I might as well just ask chat gpt for a view, its actually more usefull.
These guys have no idea what consumers actually look for in a car.
I own a Jetour now for 4 months and I can honestly say that the only thing I struggle with is Android auto, but thats not the cars fault, android auto just sucks in general.
Isn't the towbar removable?
If so, why would one leave it in place if not used? Therefor, if removable, your shin bash 300 is mute!!
10.9L?on a 2 Litre? I currently do 11.8L/100km on a 3.2l Everest
diesel is needed
As a BMW driver, I went to test drive a T2. The throttle and transmission are horrible compared to a BMW with a ZF8, Very jerky
Please enlighten us on a petrol 2.0t 4wd with this shape size and weight that you have actually tested that are so much lighter on fuel. I'm so sick and tired of this hype train about the fuel consumption on these Chinese 2.0t petrol engines as if any of the European brands with the same size turbo petrol engine even come close to what the manufacturer claims.
Doesn't sound like good value to me if there are so many convinience issues especially with the drive train. Sounds to me like a NO go for me. Thanks for the honest review!
I've experienced this "roll back"0 issue in the Haval H6. It can be quite unnerving
I really don't understand what Jetour was thinking in producing both these cars (T1 & T2) that seem so similar. This is an awful review, in two senses: it is a little contradictory, but also quite damning of the car. Sounds like a big fail to me. Whereas if they can sort out a few niggles in the T2 (throttle mapping; gearbox overheating whilst 'off roading'; tendency of car to speed up whilst it should be crawling etc), I think that one is a winner.
I test-drove this T1 a few days ago and the throttle issue mentioned here is exactly what stood out for me, it's not a nice feeling and I think it would drive me crazy. Apart from that, it's got a very commanding seating position, it feels very huge from the cockpit and with that long and squared-off bonnet, it's kind of intimidating at first, speaking for myself of course, my current car is a V40, so you can imagine the size difference. I really like the fit and finish, the infotainment screen, ride height, the copious room for all occupants, and the big boot. Although, all that in a single package is overwhelming at first glance, it's great except for that throttle programming and the fuel economy.
I've seen a T1 hybrid (I believe it's the same Chery Super Hybrid System) available in other markets, maybe that'll make it here at some point and iron out some of these issues.
Warning – the Jetour T1 and T2 have transmission overheating problems when off roading in soft sand, or during steep hill climbs in hot weather. This issue was already brought under Autotrader's attention by commenters with the T2's test, so why isn't this important flaw mentioned or tested then with the T1? The diff-locks on Jetour 4WD vehicles can malfunction also, rendering it useless off-road.
I’m convinced , I will keep my Subaru Outback…
Very contradictory video. Can be very confusing for the audience
