  1. Subaru made a blue with this car by not giving it the 17" Wilderness wheel and tyre package that it comes with in the USA, Should be the 17×7" matte black wheels with 225-65-17 semi-AT tyres like a Yokohama G015/018 or Falken AT trail tyre.
They also made the mistake of not including sat nav and a 360 camera (front camera) in the Wilderness trim.

  2. Just walked around and checked out this exact car at the auto show and there is so much random plastic on the exterior of this thing. Plastic you can actually pull up with your fingernail that wind will only be so kind with. That XT and the wheel well trims are so overdone. You look around the booth and you see the Forester, the solara, the WRX and nothing has this much plastic on it (yet). The interior isn't really that bad it makes sense. The redesigned dash works. It looks identical to the one we have here in the States. I loved my 2015 outback and I thought it had the perfect mix of plastic and body paint. Now it's trending in the wrong direction with angles that don't make sense. It looks like a hiking shoe. Long rant over – Love the review

  3. Who approves these ugly designs? It looks like a Lego creation.

They've managed to kill the wagon. Also, what's the difference between the outback and Forester again?? 😣

  4. Had four Subarus currently we have an 8 year old forester xt which owned from new. Been a great car. Most people who buy foresters own them for a long time and always go back for more! For people that knock them clearly have never driven them. I advise a test drive in one I guarantee you’ll have a smile on your face especially in any of their turbo variant engines. They also handle extremely well so please take one out. I’ve driven One of these new outback’s in wilderness trim and just order one, never liked the old wagon shape, but this looks great in the flesh and will do everything as a family we need it to do! Thanks for the review! Totally agree should come standard with all terrains in this trim, but most SUV’s seem to be coming out with road tyres on now anyway.

  5. The "adaptive suspension" is supplied by ZF Sachs, essentially a verison of the "flexride" system on GM's and Opels in the late 00's.

the dampers are really expensive if (and when) it goes wrong to replace.

  6. It’s a “bit of an eyesore from the back”. Um and the front and sides….Are car companies trying to save money employing designers? Copying the KiA Tasman design isn’t clever given their sales numbers.

  7. Some say ugly? (Personally, I prefer the term rugged, or maybe butch) 🤷‍♂️, but hey, I can live with a bit of ugly in exchange for a
full-size spare wheel, 240 cm of ground clearance and some decent cargo space. As for pricing…..

  8. Great to see Subaru getting the aggression back in it's design of yester-year accept except for the CVT. Definitely the design is a lot better than the executive look they have been going for over the past 15yrs
