Picked up some free auto textbooks/service manuals from the early 60s today.
Things were a lot different back then — no scan tools, no internet…just diagrams, fundamentals, and some clever old school hacks.
One textbook literally says to use clothes pins to hold valve lifters lol. Such a neat find! What’s the coolest old-school trick you’ve come across?
