Can someone answer this for me please? Active aero, why is it a thing? If anybody can use it at almost any part of the track without there being the DRS 1 second gap that gives one car performance over the other, why go through all the trouble and expense to create a system that has no impact whatsoever? If it wasn’t there, the cars would be doing the exact same things compared to each other, they would just be a second or two slower. Is that the only reason? To make the cars look faster compared to other series? This makes no sense to me. What am I missing?
I really think the Cadillac should have had a gold flake livery.
Could they have the active elements on the wings rotate on different axes from the adjacent element? For example, have the rear element on the wing lift up from the front edge (axis along the rear edge), and the middle element drops down from the rear edge (axis along the front edge). This would give a larger gap between the open elements for clean air versus having them open up the same way.

Williams car looks very bulky compared to the Red Bull/Aston Martin. Also testing just went live for those reading this!! Watching the Red Bull and Aston live they look like they are in a different category compared to others, so much smaller they look compared to some others.
