The BMW X7 isn’t going to help you blend into the background – it’s a pretty vulgar huge seven-seat SUV, but it’s also one of the best cars you can buy. Join me for a full review of this behemoth, a car that carried me from Glasgow to Portsmouth in a day without breaking a sweat or my back. I’ll talk about economy, comfort, tech and driving dynamics.

Nice review, Tim. Would have liked to hear more of your thoughts comparing it to the LR Discovery and Kia EV9 (or Hyundai Ioniq 9). Is the Disco better for carrying seven people?
I love this ostentatious, vulgar, beast of a car! Great review as always, Tim – thank you ❤
Does not come close to Range Rover, it can’t go off road
I took SQ7 over it
After long time of testing them
Bmw X7 win only in 3rd row
Phrase of the video – 'as you might have expected'.
Wouldn’t touch it, unappealing inside and out, Range Rover any day, they’re a joy to own.
I drive one in Florida. It’s so good and by American standards not large!
Untouchable in that I wouldn't touch it with yours..
Don't you have a parking lot somewhere there?
Nobody has ever been to the moon. They couldn't even do a lap of it last week.
Has to be in Black and paid for with a Briefcase full of powder!
I rented one out in Dubai and absolutely loved it. Couldn't believe how something this big could handle so lightly. It also looks much better in person, even if the facelift is more in your face.
I could never own a monstrosity like this but then I have no desire for one. I did however once pick up a new BMW from Spartanburg and it was a great experience with a go on track and a factor and museum tour.
Surprised you didn’t make use of the brilliant reversing assistant towards the end of the video. It would have reversed you effortlessly back down that narrow lane without you having to do a thing. It was my favourite feature on my last BMW.
Ugly and overpriced. No, just no
Whats the tariff on Greenland imports ATM? I can see why it appeals – not an SUV fan but, like this one 🤟
All the way from Greenland 🇩🇰
Wowers & Bilkins do knock out some decent speakers 🔊
White interior 🤢
Should've been named the BMW Zugzwang rather than X7.
Great video! How does the X7 compare to the i7 in regard to ride quality, sound insulation, interior quality and overall refinement (apart from engine noise of course)? 🙂
Killed me with the automatic folding seats, but not the 3rd row headrests. Rubbish lmao!
Things is – the 7 series used to be the knowing elegant choice and the X7 was chosen by tools. BUT the new 7 series is SUCH an ugly thing that the X7 is now the default choice….
Same car featured on a number of YouTube channels… This is the worst!…. Sorry!
If Chinese competition as Gelly galaxy m9 or zeekr 8x and 9x enter on market they will hit hard Europe and other luxury car makers
Gotta say a few things it's hideous both in price and look and the extra off-road capability with that one is pointless, how often would you be going off road on 21" diamond cut wheels. Bottom line, nope.
When I drive my x7 I don't even pretend to park in one space.
Hi Tim, can you add road tax on these great videos 😊
Why do some motoring journalists have to take the biggest cars in the country down the narrowest roads in the country? ……. Just weird.
Thanks, Tim, amusing and informative as ever. Four wheel steering is not an option if the Offroad package is fitted (as with this car). Also, one of the optional packages allows autonomous reversing up to 200m, which back tracks exactly over the path just driven. Would have been useful in the narrow lane encounters!
I have to say Tim , I wish car manufactures did this high luxury and cosseting feeling cars in their smaller offerings uk roads just terrible and narrow , if the x3 had this level of comfort it would beat every other manufacturer .. air suspension rear wheel steering massage seats 💺 excellent tech…. Sound deadening tech We can but dream ….
