There’s just too much to go wrong with these hi tech Chinese vehicles and they are not actually cheap either, nor proven ,give it a few years and Murphy’s law would suggest if anything can go wrong it will go wrong, not so much driveline but all the unnecessary gadgetry that makes your life difficult once it starts falling, then it could be a nightmare.
In the old days, Lane Keep Assist used to be the Mk1 eyeball

Yea because they have let the cost of the mg4 go to price that is close to a SUV they need to get that price below 30k
I previously mentioned that the MG is the lifestyle version whereas the LDV is the workhorse, both are okay for what the are, better than FOTON alternatives however neither are in the class of the established players, that said against lets say the other China brigade options from GWM then maybe this could work out well for the those who can't get into the established options in the market segment.
Will be towing these off to scrap in 4 or 5 years like all the other SAIC products.
If you can't afford a new proper ute, buy a second hand one.
This isn't a ute, it's a modified wagon with gizmos where the novelty wears off quickly, and the breaking distance is horrendous.
Oh dear complicated making it vulnerable to repair nightmares.
I wish someone would made a smaller car like ute. First in will make a killing. Reckon its one market that is missing.
The U 9 was a great class of a German Submarine. Slightly out of context.😅
The concept is great. A slightly larger ute (usual dual cabs are too small for families), road orientated because 90% of utes probably never go off road, nice interior and original design. Great running gear like the gearbox and transfer cases. Great warranty. It's almost like something is slightly missing in the execution. But it's a tempting proposition.
Hear me out, the Tasman looks better than this…
