Camry needs more love in the Philippines its widely known in global as one of the goats when it fomes to reliability
Interesting take! But I’ve always felt that 'driver-centric' shift happened back in 2019 with the XV70 Camry. That was the generation that introduced the TNGA-K platform, which really killed off the classic 'boaty' handling and lowered the center of gravity. Since this new model shares the same bones and wheelbase, the 'new skill' as mentioned feels more like a refinement of what the Camry mastered a few years back.
That said, the real star here is the A25A-FXS (also shared with Alphard, ES300h, New Rav4, etc.). It’s a masterpiece of thermal efficiency (I’d suggest checking out The Car Care Nut channel on this). It’s proving to be a solid successor to the legendary 2AR-FE as long as you stick to those 5k mile/8k km oil changes especially in our road conditions here!
Also, listing the V6 and 'shifting market preferences' as cons seems a bit of a stretch. The V6 2GR-FE has been gone since the XV50 (2018) era, and you can't really blame a sedan for people choosing SUVs and Crossovers! Would have also loved to hear Vince's take on this new model. 👍🏼

Camry XV40 2.4v was my first car, but for a starting professional it is quite impractical to have this car that time because it is a gas guzzler. Now, with a hybrid powertrain, it is an excellent option for young professionals who want to have a luxury sedan for a much achievable price and maintenance when compare to european counterparts.
