Welcome back guys! Hereโ€™s my review of the 2026 Toyota Prius Limited AWD in Wind Chill Pearl. This compact car competes against cars like the 2026 Honda Civic Hybrid, 2026 Toyota Corolla Hybrid, and the 2026 Hyundai Elantra Hybrid.

  1. Oh hey, the wife picked up one of these in the fall, in black. Limited, AWD, regular hybrid. She loves it. The trunk open height is adjustable, tho we never figured out the trunk lock button; when we push it, it just beeps. The only downside I'd say is if one is coming from an older Prius like the wife's 2008, the trunk feels way smaller since it's so sloped.

  2. $41,000? Compare this to the less expensive Model 3 RWD. Or $40k Model Y. Far more comfort, better driving position, bigger back seat, faster, and no gas or oil changes.

  3. I bought my first Prius, a first generation model in October 2002. I liked it because it was a sedan rather than a hatchback with a proper trunk. This was an advantage because it had less road noise as the rear wheels were behind the backseat. Another advantage was that it was higher off the ground than my second generation Prius which saved my back getting in and out of the car. The 2026 looks like a back breaker!

  4. Nice review. Thanks. Your AWD there has a 10.5 gallon fuel capacity. The FWD versions have an 11.3 capacity and the plug-ins have 10.6.

  5. The fuel mileage ratings are pure B/S! I have a 2020 limited and get 57 mpg consistently. MY GOD TOYOTA IS MADE IN JAPAN, who knew!!! Bought my first one in 2007 then 2013 and now 2020! Replaced a brake switch in the 07 otherwise itโ€™s been just oil changes etc!

  6. It would be interesting to do a comparison between this and the Kia Niro. This is quicker, but doesnโ€™t have nearly the cargo capacity as in earlier Prius versions.

  7. SUGGESTION: Instead of putting your backpack in the passenger seat, why not put it in the hatch/trunk so we can get a feel for the cargo space?

  8. had an XLE as a rental for three days. Pleasant to drive manners, but suapension is soft and doesnt match its looks. The HVAC was incredibly good in warm FL.

The gauge cluster was impossible to see though. Visibility is not great in every direction.
