If you aren't a fan of the new design for the actual Subaru Outback, the new Trailseeker gives you a more wagon like design with the kind of speed and tech that an Outback could only dream off a couple generations ago. Those of you driving a WRX STI may want to exercise caution incase one of these pulls up next to you at the stop light because this new Trailseeker is the quickest acceleration Subaru ever produced! 😱
Good design behind large and more space inside very good
It's so annoying that the EV designers always cater to high spec / higher price buyers. What about us average folk who want an EV station wagon, and don't want the all the fancy stuff. Just give me an AWD BEV Wagon, with seats, steering wheel and a Radio at a decent price
Are you bothered by the lack of personality of modern interiors, or are you past that? Like different drive mode screens still just don’t give me the personality of an old school interior.
I would love this…as a hybrid. I love the look. Wish Subaru did it with the XT engine.
The blue perforated areas of the seats are genuine nappa leather, a feature of the Touring model. It’s not Startex faux leather as you described
All those nice seeing you drive it would’ve been better if we would’ve seen what the car was actually doing when you were driving it that’s the whole point of what you doing and you know I would’ve loved to have seen what the car was doing
here in Canada the Toyota version is way more expensive vs the Subaru one , Toyota already giving you discount , I think they got surprise by the price Subaru went……. who will buy the Toyota version for 5k more vs the equivalent in Subaru…. ????
The Outback does 0 to 60 in 6 seconds?
Obviously it's not mean for the great outdoors. No flat floor? No camp mode? No dog mode?I really want this car to succeed but the rediculous fake hud the subscription you have to pay for remote start and the weak heater means they are not listening to Canadians. 20 years ago the remote start you could buy for any car worked fine. Now on a $60,000 dollar car they want you to pay another monthly fee for this simple feature.
I like the quiet, and the proper climate controls. I can't see it, but I assume that middle knob is a real volume knob for the radio. I can't stand that $70K luxury cars don't even give you a knob to turn down the volume!
Definitely don't love the soft suspension. I'd expect that on Toyotas, which are mostly moving sofas, but Subaru should have tightened this up. I haven't driven this car, just responding to the comments made in the video.

Really like the Lexus display and knobs. Don’t like the rectangular steering wheel so much.
104 mph top speed? Is this a typo? It's about the same top speed as my first car, a 1983 Ford Escort with an anemic 80hp 4 cyl 😀

Question 1: who would go trail-seeking without a spare tire?
Question 2: if you run out of gas on a trail, you can get a simple rescue using a gas can. Would you need a tow truck if you run out of juice?
Question 3: how many people want a long drive where it takes 28 minutes to get an 80% charge vs 5 minutes to refill a gas tank?
It looks like a nice $50,000 grocery hauler, but a trail seeker? Not so much.
A lot cleaner looking than the very busy new Outback. The rotary shifter is no bueno.
I expect these will do very well. Looks good, and solves the outbacks only downsides, fuel economy and power.
Toyota version looks better because the hideous black and silver plastic panel look on the exterior is a little more tolerable.
