2026 Mitsubishi Destinator GLS Review | Zigwheels.Ph

Automobiles

Mitsubishi’s new 7-seater might look familiar on the outside (XL-Force!) but it definitely has a lot of new things on the inside–not least that turbocharged 1.5-liter motor.

Will it turn your head away from the venerable Xpanders and Montero Sports when it comes to a 7-seater?

  1. Montero Sport only has a 68L fuel tank and contrary to a comment here, the fuel consumption is similar as someone who used to drive a '17 Montero Sport GLS 2WD, currently with an '24 Xpander GLS and was able to borrow a Destinator unit for a short while.

Good review and pretty much agree on the most points presented here. I prefer setting the seat to the lowest position and tilting slightly lower the steering wheel for my optimal driving position, and as a band-aid solution to the short telescopic adjustment.

And not for the faint hearted, a.k.a the "ang mahal, nag Montero na lang ako" type of people who thinks ride height is the end of it all when it comes to value for money proposition.

Facepalms as again, someone who previously drives a Montero Sport

  2. I've liked it since it was just the DST concept. But now I'm close to buying it, I have two issues. Fuel consumption and the acrylic front.
I think the acrylic front is prone to damage, scratches, and yellowing. Anything to prevent that?

  3. I wonder why Mitsubishi decided on a turbocharged instead of a hybrid like everyone else. Hybrid would have been a better choice because it's more fuel efficient while still able to have a great acceleration.

  4. Ganda, forgot to mention sa start is ung spare tire sa ilalim if im not mistaken.

Im also confused bakit anlaki ng ilaw nya sa likod, pero ung umiilaw pag nag left or right or stop is like 2 inches super thin small part lang. Why not the whole thing.
