This is the all-new Audi Q3, and Mat’s got his hands on one for a full, in-depth review!
There’s no denying there’s a huge amount of small SUVs available to buy in 2026, so does the new Q3 offer enough to stand out from the crowd? Let’s take a closer look, starting with the design.
It’s a bit of a poor start, with the front and the side angle leading the Q3 to feel fairly anonymous. The car we have here is the range-topping edition, so it comes with extra black plastic on the front bumper, as well as a more aggressive grille, but the entry-level model wouldn’t come with these options and would leave a lot to be desired. The new Audi logo appears flat and understated, but thankfully, the sleek headlights lend it a bit of presence. Along the side, this edition of the car has black side mirrors, as well as black window surrounds and roof rails, but it still looks fairly generic. Around the bac,k it’s a different story, with the cool tail light design, as well as a full length light bar, with the shaping of the rear end giving it a bit more presence.
Step inside, and the Q3 has a quality cabin. There are soft-touch materials throughout, and it generally looks and feels expensive. There’s a large swooping infotainment and digital dial screen across the dash, and although it comes with a large bezel, the new infotainment system is generally easy to use. The digital dials also look crisp and sharp, although some of the customisation options aren’t the best. All-in-all, though, the Q3 certainly comes with a much better design on the interior compared to the exterior!
There are a large number of engines available for the new Q3. The entry-level is a 1.5-litre turbo petrol with 150hp, while there’s also a 2-litre turbo diesel with the same output. Both of these cars have front-wheel drive only. There are two versions of the 2-litre 4-cylinder turbo, both coming with Quattro all-wheel drive and either 204hp or 265hp. Finally, there’s a plug-in hybrid, which couples a 1.5-litre turbo petrol with a motor & battery to produce 272hp.
However, there’s one key point we haven’t addressed yet. The entry-level Q3 now costs £38,000, and if you go for the range-topper with a couple of options added (like we have in this video), you could be spending up to £58,000 on this small SUV! So is it worth it? You’ll need to stick with Mat and see for yourself!

This car looks like what would happen if an MG HS, BYD Atto and Seat Ateca had a threesome
This doesn't look like an Audi. This is a BYD Seat Ateca MG Hyundai Jaecoo Ford combination 😂
£58k in Starmers Britain LOL 😂
Hate SUVs. I will never like them.
60k for a q3? Getting into Lexus money!
The previous model feels more premium I really don’t know what’s wrong with German car manufacturers
Looks like a Ford
the Cupra Terramar with the same engine specs and same weight (1750 Kg) does officially 5,9 secs for 0-100 km/h, does Audi cheat a bit with their official numbers, just to be ahead of the siblings? But. the Terramar officially has 243 km/h top speed, Audi 3 km/h less, did they forgot to change that ?
$10k headlight… for a gimmick.
Audi fucked up with this one. Had the '21 model and it was a beauty. This sucks balls and there are much better premium alternatives.
I am struggling to say something positive about the “new” Audi and I can’t come up with anything. It has been habit to critique Audi in effort to make it a better vehicle than it has been already but I don’t have the urge to do that. Like many vehicles, you look at them passing on the road and you say “oh, that’s not offensive” and then you see it’s a Kia or Hyundai. You have seen what they have done.
It is a different generation of car buyers. They do not know Audi. They do not understand the history of it. It is an experience to drive an Audi. It is a German car for all that entails.
Same engine and almost the same car, beside the luxurious interior is the Cupra Terramar 2.0 TSI 😀👍 made in Hungary on the same Audi factory
What is Audi doing? This car is so ugly.
Worst era for car design, at least for luxury cars.
That gear-change stalk on the steering wheel column is hardy "innovative". Mercedes have been doing it for years.
Pls tell Auid FF you , gie us old dashboreds, manual gearbox ,relibly engines ,and parts that dont cost 3.5.10k+
How ridiculous to have launch control!! Have Audi added it to allow owners a quick getaway from the weekly shop at Waitrose?
The new Q3 isn't Audi. It's not even a VW in disguise — at least the Tiguan still looks like a Volkswagen. This Q3? Remove the badge and it could be any generic Chinese crossover. This isn't innovation — it's identity loss.
Can't replace my Audi RS7
looks like a chinese suv to me
I would rather buy a Hyundai Kona
this pales in comparison to the cost/benefit that cars like zeekr7X offers
With bmw fcking up their design Audi looks quite nice.
It's nice to see a covered storage, but cup holder should also have a cover when not in use. Otherwise, they tend to become mini trash receptors or collect dust. The old style pop-up/push-down, bottoms were a great alternative. Funny how auto manufactures discontinue their few good ideas for some trendy gimmick nobody asked for or wants.
That new emblem looks like something they picked from cheap aftermarket store.
holly crap. Matt just destroyed this Audi
About the same performance as my 5 year old Ford Edge ST for twice the price. No thanks.
Audi Q5 and Q3 in the last 5 years just copied the Hyundai Kona design. So it's just a stupidly expensive Kona. When they come back with an original and beautiful design like the RS6 SQ8 and the A6/S6 C7 design, then they will come back in the market with great sales.
Focus on one and that is you mat.
Omoda 9….fully specced, 4.9s, 90miles plug in 400+bhp
I own a 2021 Q3 fully loaded that looks beautiful. New BMWs and Audis are so ugly I honestly wonder if they are trying to go bankrupt. Both brands are dead to me.
The reality out there is totally different, orders for the Q3 are so good that as things stand you have to wait 6 months for a new Q3…so i still cannot understand what your agenda is!!
VAG is out of their minds with Audi. Even some 26 models dont have remote start yet. They are so far behind on tech, compared to BMW and MB that they are a shadow of their former selves.
Peak Audi was when the A5 came out and blew everyone away- before tech dominated cars and when Audi just chose to fall behind.
even the octavia looks better bruh
That logo reminds me of what VW's used
to look after someone had nicked the badge: just a sad shadow.
Somewhat fitting.
Audi is lost 😕
Can you, for goodness' sake, start testing the file retention function as the default? For those of us who drive long distances, it's a dealbreaker if it's bad.
no friggen way sorry not sorry
For ages it was bmw vs audi vs Mercedes…. It's bmw vs vw vsercedes nowadays. And surelly not because audi became vw underdog.
resembles more like a chinese car or korean even. Ridiculous pricing. They have killed the brand. Thanks for making it easy for the customers.
It is frightening how quickly German premium car manufacturers have been overtaken by the Chinese. Every interior of a Chinese car (mostly electric cars) is of a higher standard or the same standard as Audi or BMW, and at a lower price.
Buy for the same price a Xpeng G9 with massage seats on the rear too…
58k for a 2liter 4 cilinder 😀 this is a joke
I’m an Audi owner and Audi is not for everyone and I’m good with that ! Love Audi!😊
