  1. With EV/Phev, to get the best fuel economy figures, they'll always run the highway terrain tyres, not to mention to be able to sell the vehicle at a competitive/lower price than the competition.

  2. This bloke just saved me a heap of money. I was about to buy ATs, but I can snag some Giti HTs on Marketplace for almost nothing and still go off-roading without issues.

  3. Terrible vehicle petrol 2 litre. 30k running gear that won't last for 10 years. Far better off with a 2015-2020 landcruiser 200 series. That car is designed to last for 25 years

  4. Great review loved it for being honest. GWM should not offer such Giti HT tires on their top spec Tank 500 it doesn't make any sense because their Tank 300 diesel versions in some markets like South Africa & Uganda come with Discovery AT(not the greatest but at least it is something). I know it is advised to change OEM tires for most cars you buy but sometimes it isn't instant or immediate that you do so

  5. You seemed a bit harsh when you mentioned that the Tank 500 PHEV is now about Prado price and you briefly mentioned that it wasn't the top of the range Prado though. They you showed what a very capable 4×4 it is because it has things like twin diff locks etc. etc. The base Prado has none of that equipment so the Tank is a far superior offering to the Prado.

  6. Keen to see you get your hands on the new Subaru outback wilderness, again another somewhat off road worthy vehicle ( yeah AWD not 4WD ) but they added HT tires 😅 why oh why do they do this

  7. The right side hand toggles on the steering wheel 07:20 works if all other warnings are adressed, like all doors are closed, all seated passengers are in their seat belts. One of its many quirks which is annoying since you don't normally play around with these toggles and look at the dash when you are driving or are ready to head out 😂.

  8. This guy is pretty good but I am not sure what the issue is with stuff from China. The radio bit is nonsense easy as to use from steering wheel as I have same system in my new tank not even a concern. And anyone running android auto or apple car play this isn't even a concern. As for the HT tires this is again a non issue 98% of people will never take their new 80k car off road so the reality is HT is the best pick for those driving to school etc. for the other two percent put a set of ATs on next round fo tires. These ecars are as good as anything coming out today if not better in many respects. Only foolish people don't understand this. Personally please to see the change and it will force other car makers to do better

  9. Great review Brett. You can set the spare buttons on the steering wheel to navigate through the favorites . I use the right spare for favorites and the left for the screen shortcut to turn off LKA. What I don't like is that you can't save DAB favourites with normal FM so if you run out of signal on DAB you have to go back into the radio and switch over to FM. Small first world problem but for the price it's annoying.

  10. Credit where it’s due. It looks great. Hybrid is a bonus. But false economy comes in resale value and reliability. Not so much of a bargain initially. It will cost you more in both shorter and long terms. Be less efficient overall and that includes safety. Still have doubts about back up service, especially nationally.

  11. lmao bro compares the tank 500 which runs a traditional mechanical diff and mechanical setup to a BYD shark because both are hybrids? welp…
