wouldnt give you 1.00 for a truck load of rav4s….ive had 8 subis zero issues !!!
The screen alone is reason to disqualify the Forester. Subaru needs to get rid of that and add back more buttons – 5 years ago. Also not great on the Subaru is the camera-based adaptive cruise and lane centering. Eyesight overreacts to brake lights and applies the brakes too hard, and too soon making the driver look like an idiot to anyone following them and the lane centering often reports that the driver's hands aren't on the wheel when they are. I can't speak to the Subaru Hybrid powertrain, but the non-hybrid's CVT has a non-linear relationship between pedal position and forward propulsion (CVT "rubberbandiness").
Long wait time should also be a factor for comparison. I don't want to wait 6 months for RAV4 anyway I'll pick the Forester.
I purchased a new Forester Hybrid. Wow what a wonderful car. Traded a 2023 Outback Limited for it. So far it’s been one of the best ever. I live in the very snowy Midwest and it’s literally a tank with the x-mode. Actually….its a tank in the snow even without x-mode LOL
2:08 , 2 inches more is important, but the cargo area of the rav4 has more height so it wins, , rav4 has led lights on the rear win. Rav4 wins overall, but subaru gets clos cos it's waaaay better off road.
Generally I prefer Toyota vehicles but in this, case when everything is considered, I'd go with the Subaru Forester.
For sure i will pick the forester for a better ride and noise isolation
$45.+ grand is a lot of money for a compact SUV like the RAV4?
What do you mean "compact crossover"????))) maybe it is not a Highlander size, but not a compact definitely!
One is for geezers and the other is for lesbians
I would like if the transmission is 2 speed transaxle instead of ecvt
I was looking at those 2 different vehicles(Rav4 and Forrester) and took both used vehicles for a drive at a dealership and found the Subaru Forester better for soaking up small bumps city driving and the wife liked the Subaru more also for ride and so I bought the New 2024 Forester Touring model with no regrets so far. I bought the 2.5 Liter aspirated fuel injection type and it has lots of power going up hills and passing large trucks when needed. I also bought the Michelin Crossclimate 2 tires all weather tires and sold the Bridgestone tires that came with the new car(good 3 season tires). Michelin CC2 tires complement the Subaru car well for winter driving in snow and slush and reasonable good on ice also.
Would love to see a comparison of the RAV4 Woodland against a Forester–I cannot warm to the Forester's bland re-styling or its inexcusable infotainment screen that for years has had the same problems year after year after year. Certainly the Subie has a superior AWD system but I am hoping that for my needs the Woodland, with its increased power delivery, 8.5 inch ground clearance will get me where I need to go on forest roads, dirt/gravel/blm roads. The Forester will always have a superior mechanical AWD system, but if you don't need all of its capability, then the RAV4 Woodland may be the ticket.
Rav 4 lools way way better , its like 10 years ahead of Subaru design. but inside subi is better. better leather ,better sound system ,better quality of plastic.
TOYOTA VEHICLES ARE BETTER QUALITY AND MORE STYLISH THAN SUBARU VEHICLES ANY TIME ANY DAY PERIOD.
The Honda CR-V STILL beats the RAV-4, and for anything road "challenging", the Subaru wins. I don't see a need for the RAV-4 as it does neither exceptionally well.
Subaru Forester vs Mazda cx5
If you don't care about the look and the brand, Subaru can be an option.
Me quedo con RAv 4
