Gas Powered Elegance! – 2026 Audi A6 TFSI – The New Executive Luxury Sedan Benchmark?

Automobiles

The fully redesigned #AudiA6 has arrived and #Audi has decided to keep the #A6 nameplate alive for 2026 while moving it to its 9th generation. Unlike the #A6eTron, this is the gas powered #AudiA6TFSI which means this #A6TFSI is only powered by a 3.0L Turbo TFSI DOHC V6 engine that it borrows from the new #AudiS5. With more power and torque under the hood, Audi has decided to kill off the old gas-powered #AudiS6 due to low demand and with the new powertrain delivering similar speed and performance as the old #S6.

  1. It was a disappointment to see the exterior badging in black only. No more chrome Audi rings. Everything in black except the window trim. You can't even tell its an A6 with the black badge when you are behind the car on the road. I want the badge to pop and be VERY visible, especially for $72,000+. The roof is also a disappointment. No shade and no glass roof delete option. I live in a hot climate and do not want more solar load on the interior. The black optic package is horrendous. More black…to an already blacked out interior (the screens across the whole length of the dashboard). Every one I seen as a tester for YouTuber is the one with least amount of blackout. I got to 7 dealers in my region: None without the blackout. The one dealer that had ONE a month ago sold it in nothing flat…but the blackout ones remain. Wait for the $15,000 discounts to start showing up if you want one.

  2. I was such a die hard Audi fan, have owned two and thought for sure I would buy another. After looking at these new models in the dealer I am so disappointed.

  3. The mechanicals are there but they really need to work on the interior and exterior. VW is going back with the buttons. Audi should follow suit.

Also isnt this the new engine with the electric turbocharger?

  4. As an owner of several Audis over the years, i am not a fan of the design and cheapening of materials. Such a bland “melted” look. Also alot of copying of Kia taillight design. Horrible. I know the trend for screens is the rage but just a cheap way for manufacturers to package controls in one place. Great for manufacturing process but not what most people want for day to day operation of their vehicle.

  5. Just not vibing it. Bland exterior look, backend is good. The screen on dash is far from being my favorite in any brand. BMW and Audi’s massive frame dual screen looks like you didn’t pay enough to get the borderless version. I think Genesis and Cadillac if not mistaken do a great job at intergration of screens. Overall it lacks premium look. In all fairness I don’t like VW group’s reliability
