  1. Do you think the Evoque is worth its £44k starting price, or would you rather have an Audi Q3, BMW X1 or Volvo XC40? 🤔💸

Let us know your reasons below! 👇

  2. It won't be long before BYD bring their Denza branded 4×4 products that will be better equipped at half the price and present a real challenge to any electrified or EREV future versions

  3. Too expensive to buy, too expensive to insure, too expensive to maintain and if that wasn't bad enough it will get stolen no matter what you do.

  4. How on earth can you make a comparison on rear seat space to the Lexus LBX? That car is simply a luxury version of the Toyota Yaris Cross which is essentially a B segment car whereas the evoque is a C segment. Of course the rear leg room is less in the LBX. I expect better from what car or maybe you are trying to endear yourselves with certain OEMs?
Just to help, the evoque is 18cm longer and 8cm wider….noticeably BIGGER!

  5. I owned a 2020 Evoque for a couple of years (I bought it at 3 months old, ex demo). Mine was completely reliable and dealer service was top notch at a fair price. Judging by all the 'expert' commentators on here, my Evoque was unique! 😂

  6. Sat in one the other day – that centre console is atrocious, horrible plastic around the gearlever, and the storage bin. I feel like that should have been mentioned in the review, given the nods to the downturn in quality for the Q3 and X1.

  7. I'm getting pretty fed up of these reviews of quote unquote NEW cars, which are nothing of the sort. Recently there have been NEW reviews of the Volvo XC60, MG MG4, Audi Q7, VW Polo, and there are doubtless more going back further. What Car is a respected and trusted publication and I really feel like calling them new amounts to clickbait for what are at best facelifts, and at worst, just model year revisions. This review even mentions in the title the new one coming next year, so how new can it truly be?

  8. You buy one on contract hire for 3 years ,that's what you pay, you don't have to worry if the Engine blows up . Most of the people commenting could not afford the Deposit never mind the repayments .

  9. I have a 2016 Evoque Autobiography and I absolutely adore it! Touch wood, it’s not put a wheel wrong. This is my 3rd Land Rover so I’m fully aware that at some point, something will go wrong but even saying that, I wouldn’t part with it. Yes, this is a much newer model but would I consider one, absolutely yes

  10. Why are you sitting on the fence? You reference other competitors being better in every other way but continue to avoid the obvious… admit it’s Sh**.

  11. Range Rover purchasers still ignore issues with reliability. They even pretend to actually be "shocked" when they break down!!
Good luck to them all, as they clearly have more money than sense.

  12. JLR always bring out the haters and BS merchants. When I bought my Evoque I checked the reliability scores and it was LR's most reliable car finishing mid table beating all but one German car. At the time people told me to keep clear and happily recommended Audi and BMW models which scored lower in the rankings. I bought a used one with a fault put on it by a DIY bodger and once repaired it's proved completely reliable. Had it 4 years now. My advice is ignore the armchair BS merchants and haters, do your own research and don't bodge or skimp on the service of any complex modern car. The only complaint I have is that the rear seats don't fold completely flat even with the base taken out.

  13. Range Rover for me made a timeless design with Evoque, it still looks so good, actually can't wait to see EV version of it for me, electric powertrain simply suits Range Rover!

  14. Anyone watching this the 2.2 cambelt engine was the last one that was good, the 2 litre will last 50k unless you get the timing chain done, the chain is like a bicycle chain which stretches, the cam followers break. Doing the timing chain on it is an 8 HR job so be prepared or avoid.

  15. 3.5k extra for a plug in hybrid that gives you 25mile range and takes 30mins to get to 80% on a high speed (high cost) charger and then get hit with 1.5ppm tax charge for all your mileage each year on top of the luxury car tax. Who on earth would want that? Why would they make such a product?

  16. Engine? Engine? If this car was an EV, they would sell millions of them and it would be more reliable overnight 😬. Oh yes, and put the buttons and knobs back

  17. This is an exercise in how to criticize a car without hurting land Rover advertising revenue..so soft it could not punch out of a wet paper bag. If this was a Chinese car they would be ripping it

  18. I was speaking to an AA technician who worked on the Land Rover contract for 3 years. He said the Evoque plug in hybrid was the most common JLR product he attended.
