The Prelude nameplate is back after 20 years, this time sharing the petrol-hybrid powertrain of the Honda Civic. However, with suspension, steering and brakes from the hot Civic Type R, many are wondering whether the Prelude has what it takes to go head-to-head with the BMW 2 Series. I am a crazy honda fan and i dont think its correct to have a 0-60 of 8,2 sec in 2026, especially in a car like this. I mean what is the reason of the title? Two door type r? My 4-door VTi of 1995 does 7,5 sec, doesnt have fake engine sound and… well i will stop here before my blood pressure raises even more.
Way to slow, should be at least in the 6 seconds
I had a prelude motegi that had 200bhp and would hit 60 in less than 7;seconds, going back about 20 years ago

A pretty coupe of the type that used to be common… but it is under powered and qualifies for luxury car tax.
Possibly the most disappointing car of the decade. I had high hopes for the return of the Prelude, let's hope Toyota do a better job with the Celica.

Sadly, another retro revival with a modern underpinning based on a fairly uninspiring platform. There should never be a prelude released without the DNA of its predecessor. It was an aspirational car that I couldn’t afford when it came out in the 90s. This is not that unfortunately. Let’s get an R a GT or some other type of spicier version and maybe it will be of interest.
Good review. I'm a honda fan, but this car is underwhelming 😢 . Hopefully there'll be a "hotter" version later in the year / next year! @honda
