The 2026 Hyundai Santa Fe XRT is a 3-row suv that bridges the gap between compact SUVs and midsize SUVs. In this video, we drive a Hyundai Santa Fe XRT trim to see if it’s a viable off-roader and to review its positives and negatives from a family perspective.

Great family ! Great review !
I have the 2025 calligraphy— and don’t regret it —-
Love everything about it— down to the sanitation compartment, and the rear lift gate area- that’s so many seem to hate on, but I love the size, the width, the height, the house plug, everything about it.
Just an amazing truck‼️
Love your videos cause you give a great review from all angles / family views … and just a cool Dad- Mom, kid family , super cool.
— happy to learn that I’m not missing out on anything – absolutely nothing has been added that I’d be a little envious of…. But nothing was *added 🎉🎉🎉, aside from the transmission change…
The 2025s seem to be doing good compared to the 2024 issues , so just staying positive that my 2025 will stand strong 💪🏽 😊
Still cannot stand that rear appearance!
Great job as always Micah and fam!!!
We have a 2025 XRT. Unfortunately we've had loads of issues. I feel like the transmission has been one of the weaker points of the vehicle, especially when getting off the line. Glad to see they've addressed this in 2026. The space is as good as advertised for the size of the vehicle though. I also love the storage and button layout.
I wouldn't buy it again due to some pretty big quality control issues though.
Wait till someone just taps the back and your tailgate needs to be replaced.
just bought a 2026 Palisade Hybrid Calligraphy, thanks to your reviews such as yours.. But have to say, compared to my Santa Fe 2022 Calligraphy, this years Santa Fe looks horrible.. Ass of a minivan. front is "WTF".. this one's a fail for me.
That backend just doesn’t do it for me.
I thought the answer was going to be no more warranty nightmares
When I saw the thumbnail, I thought the change was the awful rear end but when I saw the introduction -its the same so nothing to see here, logging off……
Hybrid would be my choice.
Interior looks nice; exterior not so much 😐
Complete with kia sorento Honda passport Toyota Highlander Jeep Grand Cherokee
l iove this car
Excellent review!😸
I'm seeing a lot of these on the road where I am, and I actually like them. I think they're cool.
I don’t know why Hyundai and Kia even offered a DCT on vehicles like this. It makes sense on sporty cars like the Elantra N. Or even those with the 1.6 turbo. But not on a big heavy suv. I have the 2.5 turbo and dct in my sonata n-line. It’s perfectly fine there. I drove the same on a Santa Cruz. It was a mess lol.
Can you review the redesigned Nissan Kicks?
I'm so glad you're out on your own now. The entire family friendly platform is what's missing in this genre, and you, Evie and daughter have nailed it! Thanks for creating a space that was largely void in the online-verse.
Yeah – off road – my sister had a 2005 and 2014 Grand Cherokee – the Santa Fe is stunning in all aspects but its not a Jeep – she jumps a curb it sound like something "not to do" where as her Jeep, she did not care at all. Jeep – too expensive now – but they get a bad rap way too much – just the powertrains folks don't realize like Sabaru they have to borrow a lot from different places so it is a bit of knock on wood we have a powertrain that behaves itself as expected – some stuff us – some stuff a partner.
DCT – the fault was not with the transmission but faulty software that did things backward to destroy the poor transmission pretty darn quickly. The Sorento had zero issues as it had the older software – someone jumped the gun on a good idea to put in the still not out officially software – what could go wrong, right. DCT – my sister loves her once she got into the vehicle after like 4 months – the way to view it is that DCT, no question gives better performance – but like being in a car with someone driving a stick shift – it is like an automatic "to you the passenger" but it is not really as one would expect or want to maybe live with all the time with stop and go traffic and so on – you might complain to the driver in stop and go – come-on smooth man, stop the engage, disengage its driving me crazy. Anyway the 8 speed is more a non-issue – it is still very good and is "as expected" for an automatic for all driving situations.
Much needed change on the transmission. Will Kia drop the DCT on the Sorento?
Would be better reviews w/o the family …..
This vehicle is absolutely hideous especially on the rear.
My hands were full during the high five so I had to head butt toward the phone for my high five today.
I like the new transmission change, but I'm waiting for the mid-cycle refresh when they raise up the rear headlights and chill with the H's everywhere.
I'm loving this but Hyundai truly needs to follow KIA with a nice modern logo redesign. Excellent commercial, cough cough I mean review 🤣
Awesome review Muzio family!
