Go back to the slant6 make the block and head out of aluminum. And direct fuel injection with turbo charge.. proven technology but no we get more junk
One more engineered pile of junk ready to explode!!!😮😂😂😂😂😂
I have a 2016 GC 3.6L pentastar with 302,245k miles on it , and still rides pretty smooth!!!!!! Ready for a new ride but with this hurricane inline 4 puts me at a crossroads now ,,,, so heavily considering the ford explorer ST V6!!!!!! Any thoughts
You guys might have to test the V6 to compare.
stellantis & new 2L turbo, yeah I’ll wait this one out.
4 cylinders just sound horrible regardless of brand including porsche
I have a 2022 Summit Reserve with the V8 (with cylinder deactivation) as I tow a motorcycle trailer and am pleased with the power and torque but mileage is high teens at best. One thing I'm disappointed in the 2026 is they moved the HVAC controls from physical controls to the haptic touch – bad move. Something I absolutely love about the Jeep (and my Ram 2500 before that) are the stereo controls on the back of the steering wheel – it's so intuitive and simple to use without thinking – something you should have mentioned.
The Italians are killing an US icon. They do it for quite some time in Europe (German here 👋🏻). Those engines, just a shame. Loved my 2013 GC , the six cylinder engine was good enough and seems to pure luxury today. So sad.
So this is the Grand Cherokee. It's not the trackhawk. I wouldn't expect it to have a V8 in it. My girlfriend's grand Cherokee has a V6 and it probably has less horsepower than that four cylinder. Also can we talk about having a four cylinder with over 300 horsepower? That's pretty good. And you said it was a 2.0? My 2.7 l turbo Cadillac has 325 horsepower. So that's pretty impressive.
Quite good
the throttle mapping you mention at 5:40 is the same with the v6 … try moving your foot lower on the gas pedal where you have more leverage and finer control over the throttle … it helps a little, but yes it's still a problem
The price goes up, the power goes down. Jeep is a joke aside from the grand wagoneer with the 6.4L. Put a hemi in this vehicle ya hosers! lol
It's hard to imagine screwing up an entire generation of a best seller the way Stellantis has screwed up this JGC gen. Even the hybrid is incredibly unreliable and underperforming.
All newer cars: smaller engine + more tech, less buttons + more distractions. Who asked for this?
New motor to fall apart from Stellantis, no surprise except fools buy these at these prices.
Apple tried the piano black once back with the iPhone 7, never to be seen again.
Jeep, I think we will use piano black that’s what the people want. NOT!!!!
Jeep has been killing it lately!
The 6 cylinder is only available in lower trims
The new engine sounds very cool at first. But Stellantis is the last company I'd ever want to buy the most advanced version of anything from.
Also, Jason of Engineering Explained did an excellent video on this new engine, you should all go watch it.
New engine = new problems because Stellantis+new engine= problems
Ya no!!! Go back to v8's
I saw where your sponsor TotalEnergies took a $1 billion bribe from trump to stop building an offshore wind farm. That sucks. 🤷🏼♂️ Won’t change my support for your channel, but just figured y’all might wanna know.
Who launches their jeep? So stupid.
They tried to build everything in Mexico until the tariffs kicked it
The front looks exactly like my 2022 jeep waganeer. Mini version of it
You have to be JOKING!!!! A 4 cil Grand Cherokee???? What are they thinking????? Bring back the V8s and watch customers come back. This 4 bangers in a Grand Cherokee is BEYOND PATHETIC!!!! TIM KUNISKIS, SAVE JEEP !!!!!
That’s a whole lot of money for a 4 cylinder.
No tactile buttons, piano black everywhere, an infotainment screen that points up at the sunroof with lots of glare, annoying wood trim that doesn't match, and worse of all – a new 4cyl engine from a company riddled with a history of QC problems – All for the bargain price of over $84k. I had hopes, but you lost me, Jeep. I'll be trading in my 2019 GC Trailhawk for something else.
Suspicious of the new 4 cylinder.
Stop putting piano black everywhere dust collects.
Bring back real buttons for the stuff we’re actually going to interact with.
Same crap engine in Masarati and all of Stellantis.
People will keep on buying these very expensive bombs, and then cry.
