There was a time where #Mazda used to offer multiple sedan models of different sizes and prices, but with the automaker moving towards SUV’s like every other brand, the #Mazda3 remains the last sedan in the lineup in America. While the latest 3 has been around since 2019, the company has kept the #Mazda3Turbo the enthusiast choice with its class leading power figures from its 2.5L Turbo engine and standard AWD. Just remember that its tech and fuel economy continues to lag behind its newest rivals.

The sedan version definitely has better views than the hatchback 🚗
Analog gauges are best
So in other words, no change!
ofc its still standing its the same car from 8 years ago holy shit do they even have anyone working at mazda anymore?
Love it
This car has not been redesigned in 8 years… i hope they don’t kill it off. It deserves a redesign. But with the 6 gone, Mazda will likely kill off the 3 as well. I haven’t seen or heard of any redesigns
Tires arent the problem. Its the shit AWD system. Its a FWD bias reactive system. It can help get unstuck from some snow but it is garbage for performance. You dont see turbo Subarus (which make more power) spinning their skinny tires. Thats because they have real AWD.
i hope these cars never get a full touch screen
simple design
in the EU this is one of the last "real" cars you can get. i got the hatchback with manual gearbox some months ago. what an absolute bliss this car is if you're an oldschool driver
I really like this and the wagon, actually prefer the wagon they did something right with that car
Whati'd love to see is a mild hybrid mated to the turbo AWD trim, IMO doesnt even need to be a fancy one that places the motor between the engine and transmission, could be on the rear differential with a 2KWH battery that adds 100lb*ft to the rear axle for some low end torque fill.
i wonder when will they release mazda 6. they need to make it wider longer taller with more cargo space
I love my 3 hatch Turbo. For the price, it should have ventilated seats, power folding mirrors, rear vents, and a power passenger seat. Ambient lighting and more configuration in the instrument cluster would be nice too. And they really should make the 10.25 inch screen standard on all trims
Perfect car if you also live in cramped Tokyo. I prefer Mazda suvs though 😂
Mazda just need to redesign this vehilcle. They need to increase the wheelbase and overall length. This will increase the interior/cargo room. Not everyone wants a CUV….
I had this car. Even though it’s widely lauded by auto journalists I didn’t like it for a few reasons:
– The fuel economy is absolutely abysmal for a smaller car
– So. Many. Rattles. I tried every fix – tape, shin etsu grease, Gummi Pflege, none of them worked
– The rear seat is practically unusable compared to any other compact sedan
– The seats were incredibly uncomfortable over long distances and something even a long test drive won’t surface
– The power figures are good on paper but this car pulls more like a diesel than a sports sedan
Had I done this again I probably would have gotten a GTI or a Civic hatchback. The straw that broke the camels back for me were the rattles and the seats.
I feel the same way about my 25 Preferred Sedan. The 2.5 NA has plenty of power for me, and I appreciate the lighter mass and slightly larger fuel capacity of the fwd. So much fun to drive, and I find myself looking back at it constantly everytime I get out and walk away.
That Mazda 3's engine is potent, but the N/A 2.5L is probably my choice to go with for fuel savings. But even then the N/A engine isn't as fuel efficient as its competitors. The FWD model will save you more, but it's more comparable to most SUVs nowadays, like a Toyota RAV4.
To me it has aged wonderfully. It really scratches the Lexus LS look for me… while being cheaper, ha
