As a 2021 RAV4 owner this new model looks so ugly in this colour. I hate that shifter and lack of physical controls. I would buy the CRV when I need a new vehicle.
I attended the Toronto Auto Show yesterday and focused on vehicles in the Toyota event space. The product advisors told me that the factory-installed tow package on the 2026 Rav 4 Woodland features a 2-inch receiver in Canada (same as in USA). They also said that the factory-installed roof rack with cross-bars is rated for 80kg (176 pounds) of dynamic load while driving.
Rap up ur pockets this is a 70K car with 60 Months Finance. 😮
cold climate folks prefer physical knobs to adjust heat . what a complete fail in this aspect

Toyota is crazy with the price
Very expensive.
So they increased the price 5000CAD each unit and tech adding from 1500 to 2500$. The HV cable costs 7000$ OOW and e months wait. So where is really the deal when in X3 pricing territory for fumes savings advantage and lower quality lower dynamics? The screen is intrusive and ugly. Frankly the Crown Signia makes the RAV 4 look bad.
Nice car, but kudos to those who can afford to spend 62,000 CAD. Myself and probably 99% of other work class people can only dream about it lol.

Why not mention the interior color? Toyota does a terrible job at letting you know what the "black" or the "gray" interior actually looks like in real life. Saw an earlier vid where the "gray" looked like "tuxedo creme white", not even close to anything "gray". Also it is not always easy to see on the Toyota window information decal.
Does it have the dreaded Start/Stop system and, if so, can it be turned off?

$52k and you still get a prop rod to hold up the hood. The car looks good (I have a 2024) but a prop rod looks cheap.

Why can't they keep the fender and rocker trim the same color as the body? Looks ugly and plasticky with these black colored panels. Because of that I feel these RAV4s only look good in pure black color and I'm not drawn to black color cars
I tested one last weekend the door felt cheap and flimsy, overall pretty nice.

What I STRONGLY object to on many of the new vehicles is the obtrusive large infotainment screens. Toyota could do better with blending it with rest of the dash. Other manufacturers do, even such as the Lexus GX550 is blended, but darned if it is not protruding on the sibling Land Cruiser.
Would be interested to know if the under-hood insulation is on other/all trim levels. Does this trim use acoustic glass on the forward side windows?
