The BYD Seagull is a battery electric city car manufactured by BYD Auto since 2023. Positioned below the Dolphin within BYD’s line-up, it is currently the smallest BYD vehicle, occupying the A00-class in Chinese segmentation (equivalent to European A-segment). It is part of the Ocean product line and marketed through “Ocean Network”-branded dealerships and stores.

It's has a very low ground clearance whish is not Good.
Is it true that it takes about 20-30mins for the aircon to cool after car has been parked under the sun, because the aircon is the one that cools the battery? Unlike other models where there is a separate battery cooling system.

Battery is not in the hood the battery is in underseats
its battery is cooled by the aircon system with cooling plates. not good in the summer heat. kaya pag summer at bilad, di ganun kalamig.
Maganda sana. But expensive. It is P10K less than the base Seal 5 hybrid sedan. And has only 120mm ground clearance. And don't forget the problem with parts and after sales service. Remember the scandal of BYD BGC where theyade the owner of a Seagull wait for so long coz they cannot repair his Seagull. And when it was repaired, the engine and battery was the one that was damaged after 1 week.
This car is good only for short driving ( cities, shopping groceries).

Panalo vinfast vf3 over that in terms of price cheaper and affordable especially during this time it's 590k only with battery subscription for 1600 plus free charging with them for 3 years. Seagull has a nice interior but price wise malayo sa budget EVs

i really like the seagull but the problem with this car is underspec in the philippines compare to european and china, they have additional tech for $10,000 dollars in china and in the philippines its almost $20,000 which is really expensive they really need to lower the price like $15,000 to be affordable to the masses.
