I hate to admit but I remember 20yrs ago I was in this kids same shoes selling dope on the run from parole I remember sitting outside talking to my gf saying I didn’t wanna do this life no more next thing Ik the jump out boys pulled on me with a warrant from parole and to serve me a new indictment on money laundering possession with intent to deliver. It was like a weight was lifted off my shoulders started selling heroin at 15 using and selling at 17 in n out of jail till that indictment. I knew that was it once I got done with my sentence I moved got my shit together created a life and a family. But I’ll never forget that helpless feeling.
