1. Even though an electrical car is less likely to explode due to fire at least in a gas car you can get out of it quicker

But the thing is, it's the big markets that set the rules, and if you want to trade, you gotta play by the rules. No company wants 28 different rules, so EU safety and product regs…are still followes in the UK to this very day. And China is another such big trading bloc that sets rules the world will follow. So much for sovereignty and freedom…better to be at the rulemaking table imo.
