  1. If we ignore the geopolitical issues (US-made cars are problematic in Canada), there are a few things that the model 3 is missing at that pricepoint before I would consider it. An instrument cluster screen and/or HUD and basic driver assist features are the big ones, I think. I'm not cool with the single center screen, and "pay a subscription for FSD or you get nothing" doesn't work for me. I'd also like to see mechanical door latches, but Tesla will probably have to switch to those soon due to the new Chinese safety laws anyway.

  2. Tesla really want to push FSD to more subscribers, and Autopilot was so good that no one wanted to pay for more capable software. But it's still a butt. However, who knows, FSD is still in development, and it all changes all the time

  3. My question is why you buy a car and you don’t drive the car? Why did it FSD? Why don’t you just take a taxi or take a train? I bought a car to drive it to steal it. That kind of lazy. 😊 buy the car and drive it and enjoy it fill the road fill the steering have fun on it. You don’t need FSD if you know how to drive.

  4. In Canada, we don’t get the Model 3 Standard due to tariffs, so the Model Y Standard is really the only option for us — and it’s actually cheaper than in the U.S., at roughly $36,800 USD when converted.

  5. Nice last words, Kyle! People should understand the difference between the product and the people (or person) behind the brand, because the cars are great. I do so, and i still love my MYP. Neither the hate on Tesla, even here in Europe. Greetings from Austria.

  6. I wonder if it makes sense to have a separate out of spec testing channel.
I suspect many of this channels regulars like me haven’t been watching the testing videos that previously we would have.
I note the testing channel is not even linked in the notes.

  7. Discontinuing Autopilot is a huge mistake, FSD is great but not everyone needs or wants it. Autopilot was something that helped sales and set it above competitors. This may be a reason the Cybertruck sales have been somewhat suppressed.

  8. Personally I think the new model y is crap all around. Decontented compared to the model 3, and also the new lights make it fucking hideous. New model 3 looks fantastic, and is a better deal at every trim level.

  9. Ive said it before and ill say it again….why anybody would buy a standard model new when a barely used premium or performance can be had for less money and way more features is bonkers to me…just bad decision making all around buying a standard

  10. Another thing to consider on comparing the 3 standard to Y standard. It makes it sound like they are making a larger profit margin on the 3 premium then they are the Y premium. That’s why they had to cut more stuff off of one versus the other to get prices down.

  11. I am pursing at the beginning of your video to say thank you for showing the base model of Tesla. Every video has to show the top of the line Tesla. I am not interested in the top of the line. Thank you.

  12. I am wondering if Tesla’s choices with the new “base” models are intended to make them more appropriate for fleet use? Steel rims , manual controls, loss of FSD seems to position the cars as less problematic over time and more miles. Thoughts?
