Here in America… land of the free, home of the brave… we are all forced against our will to pay for an insurance product that will quite literally try to destroy your life if you dare use it.
Car insurance in the USA is a certified SCAM. And I’m tired of pretending it’s not… anyone else sick of this crap??
#car #insurance #trucking #road #trucker #america #usa #driving #scam #money

Crazy
Next beater I buy is getting some of that $39 a month insurance from one of those places with a Max in its name
😂
Lapse of insurance premium is a lie jst go to a different insurance company and they will actually even be lower than what u currently had then if u do switch back to ur previous one they still don’t charge you those months u didn’t have it
The problem is we are sick of it but they have us by the balls and we can't do shit.
Bro get with state farm not progressive
This entire country is just one big Jewish scam at this point.
Still not as bad as Massachusetts
This mine as well get shut down it’s been 20 plus years and there’s no new roads or freeways to navigate easily to other places that supposedly exist. They play it off like it’s all semi trucks but the roads are terrible in general even in non destroyed conditions. There just isn’t much point in anything this still just goes on as some cycle they do for food and maybe drugs. Just redoing terrible organized roads goes on. The whole thing sucks the freeways there is suck in the way they were shaped or something, maybe they were roads.
It is not about how much your car worth. It is about how much damage you can cause to the other people. My salary is 300k a year. If you hit me, I would want your insurance to pay at least that much if I can't work for a year.
I pay $120 a month with Progressive for my 96 Jeep Grand Cherokee with almost 300,000 miles on it
Problem is that you crash your $500 dollar truck into a $300,000 ferrari car. Oh no worries we will charge Ferrari guy an "uninsured/underinsured" driver surcharge. But we are still going to charge excessively for the $500 car. 🤷♂️
The cheapest liability insurance i ever found was through Allstate and they only charged me 31 dollars a month to insure my 2005 Volkswagen GTI 1.8T. at one point i was paying 3,600 dollars a year when i had a bunch of speeding tickets on my record, and the car was being financed so i had to have full coverage.
If insurance wasn't mandatory, they would be more competitive.
Anything called "Progressive" I would avoid.
Feel for you brother. Almost same situation with me. Shopped around and Safeco was the cheapest out here in AZ. I've had them for a while and can't complain. Hang in there 🙏
When a product is mandated that is when the prices go through the roof.
Holy Hannah! I have a 2024 Nissan Pro4-X with full coverage at 100/300k and $100 deductibles for comp/collision and only pay ~$1200 a year for that vehicle. Our 2017 Nissan Sentra SL is about $750 for the same and will only be about $40 a month ($486/yr) once we drop it to liability only next summer at its payoff date. (GEICO lets you look at estimated changes). That includes having our adult daughter on our policy as well.
You might want to ask for a little lube….
When you pay monthly premiums to have insurance but have to pay a deductible to use it. It’s a scam.
It has more to do with the Top of the company.
Sounds like me when I got insurance for my 1985 ford Ltd. Premiums doubled the next year for no reason
you're being charged based on how much damage you can do to someone else, not how much your vehicle is worth.
sounds about right! I have to pay 160$ a month for a 03 Chevy s10 (a small pickup). Insurance is the biggest reason why Americans are struggling right now. One of the reasons my trucking company failed was because the insurance is absolutely insane like $1200 to $1800 in my area.
Well, IMHO, this all starts with the lawyers. In Florida there are a couple of them that advertise on TV and gloat about the fact that they "got ** $1,000,000 when their clients were slammed into by a dangerous truck".
That's partly why the insurance rates go through the roof. They're a business. Yes, partly it's greed but partly it's the essence of diminishing returns.
Oh, and FUCK SAFECO TOOO!!!!!!!!!
Law makers in our country own insurance companies. This is why insurance is the largest organized crime syndicate on the planet. Make a claim…….. They'll 100% deny it
#presidenttrump
I have a 1998, my insurance was 185 a month…then a couple years ago, out of the blue i get an email saying it would go up in January, by 100 PER MONTH, making it 285….I dont do a lot of driving, never been in an accident, never had a laps, 1 speeding ticket 20+ years ago…when I asked why it was going up so much, i was told it was because they've had a lot of claims. I told them that isn't my problem and have not had insurance since.
Want the scam to end? Stop buying insurance. What are they going to do if everyone just stopped buying into the bs and never paid again? We need to stop asking permission from the government to do things we have a right to do.
The only way to fight back would be stop paying and ignore the fines and fees .
But
The problem is with law enforcement, the satanic court system and the banking system . The banks ? Yes , because when they authorize a withdrawal or freeze on your a account for a payment we are helpless . Law enforcement always goes against the American citizens
We need a hard reset
%100
Those are some of the most unreliable vehicles
Also getting insurance to insure another person's vehicle is a complete scam.
Not to defend the industry, but liability only covers other vehicles l; not your own. That rate has a lot to do with your driving record, as well as the safety/motor of your vehicle. It is not based on the value of what you drive
The insurance is not just for you but for others you're driving around.
Guy doesn't understand that the legal minimum for insurance is to pay for damages to the enemy driver…not your own car. Getting coverage for your own car is an additional expense.
You mention Progressive; what I found out is Progressive will only get the estimates from their preferred auto body shops. They will not accept a body shop you prefer to work with.
A pink sheet in B.C for a truck like yours would run you around 1k or less per year. This would cover up to 1 million in liability. Crown owned insurance/Socialism.
Ways to keep your rates down: don't get speeding tickets, moving violations, get DUIs, don't total your vehicles, or crash at any time, and get older, they don't like the lack of experience of younger drivers…..oh, move away from big cities and metropolitan areas or states. Good luck.
Bye bye Progressive. Thanks for the warning.
Well yes, you're not insuring your vehicle, you're insuring the damage you can do with yours. When everyone is driving "new" cars, you are insuring those new bits and bobs on those new cars that are expensive.
Your quote might have been different in a no-fault state where you insure (mostly) your own vehicle.
Even of it os a no fault state when you have an accident it is not so you as the one hit saves money. Insirance companies made nonfault to make mlre money bu jacling up your insurance of you were at fault or not in an accident..
Do you not understand that much..Alsondo nkt go over seas and get insirance over seas and not keep yor ISA insirance policy since even if you use the SAME INSURANCE COMPANY BUT REQUIRED TO ISE THE OVER SEAS ON IT IS STILL A LAPSE IN INSURANCE!!+
Don't get just liability. You need theft insurance which is covered under comprehensive. And it's surprisingly cheap. And you need towing insurance which is covered under roadside assistance. And it's also really cheap. If you don't have these things, you wind up riding a bicycle which is what I'm doing now. I thought no one would steal my old Ford, I thought no one would want it. But they did. I wish I'd had theft insurance.
Does Flo know this?
You’re a liability. If your $500 car crashes into $150,000 car your 20 buck month premium won’t cover the other driver.
It's Maryland. Run by politicians with a (D) designation after their names. I noticed one time I drove into Virginia from Maryland and the price of gas dropped $0.50 a gallon. I bet thus guy votes for the folks with the (D) after their names.
