  3. Seems to be averaging far better economy than advertised after a couple of months, the same as the 0.9 Clio tce manual it replaced, around 41mpg. Also only an idiot would give up the spare wheel for more boot space, but thats what journos complained about. Bigger boot but no spare, yay…. absolute idiots. Super impressed so far. It's a touch jiggly I think, but the 19s in the UK don't help however it does come with continental tyres as standard on the noble, but they are ev rated, does that affect it? Personally in jade green with red calipers etc it looks absolutely fantastic. Omoda 5 is the best selling car in central London, not the E5 electric version…the petrol one. It has serious showroom appeal, it feels well made, its just nice to sit in, it looks and feels fantastic and also in modern terms its not expensive. Fabulous car with all the kit you probably ever want or need. Also, the touch points on the screen is largely irrelevant because everything is voice activated, even the sunroof and windows if you want to!

  6. I bought mine (Garnet red Noble) mid Jan.
    Its been great, I love it for the price point.
    I have had a few niggles, the Emergency Lane Keep assist flags up a fault from time to time and the handbrake has failed to turn off a few times, which is a little annoying (although turned it off and back on again and it was ok). So its back in the garage having the issues looked at.
    I knew for the price there was likely to be a few issues along the way, it being such a new untested car, but it has a 7 year warranty, and as long as these things get sorted..that ok.
    I had a 5 series BMW before, which i bought for £56k new.
    That thing was great to the first 3 years, then just out of warranty, the air suspension packed up and cost thousands.
    If you are thinking of buying an Omada, just remember what you are getting for the money (I got a special deal on mine £26k with 3 years servicing and paint protection, and 4 years interest free).
    They will have glitches, but so do all cars

  9. Do we know when the hybrid will be out. I have a O5 that im getting on motability but the hybrid hasnt been announced yet. What does it sound like in CC on motorway?

  12. Great review but I don’t think you mentioned the voice controls?? The controls are small on the screen but you can use voice controls for most things. Just hoping my grandson doesn’t figure them out 🤣

  13. Guys what’s with the MGS5 top trophy trim and it doesn’t have wireless charging. What a let down that’s what put me off the MG HS, surely in this day and age wireless charging is a given norm.

  15. Guys great review and seemed perfect for me, my lease deal comes to an end later this year and I have 3 cars on my bucket list, the Qashqai Omoda 5 and the Kia sportage 1.6 hit.
    At one point I was leaning towards the Omoda but after the de turning, I started to move away from it but this hybrid version launch I’m moving back towards it.

  24. Great video , this is what annoys me about uk carmedia these days , they test a car but then don’t retest it when it’s upgraded or changed . So when someone who looks at the review they did it might put them off when actually they’ve changed it . Still it doesn’t seem to be putting people off as the Jaecoo7 was the uks second best selling car last month , amazing ! Now outselling Ford . Who’d have thunk it eh lol
