  1. I had a Levante until it got stolen and this video really sums it up. I had a Grecale for a few weeks when mine was in for some work, and it was nice… but it wasnt special. The Levante felt special. Technically it may be slightly older etc. But the looks, the sound and the feel were far superior, without the gimmicky distractions of the interior on the Grecale.

  2. The design of the Grecale is very cool : it really looks like my wife’s Ford Puma. (In fact I prefer the design of the Puma and I must not be the only one since it’s been UK best seller for the last…3 consecutive years !) 😂

  3. Yet another manufacturer making things worse and more dangerous when it comes to in-cabin controls. 30 years ago, the driver focused classic layouts and materials in the likes of the BMW E39 were perfect. The only new function since then is built in sat nav, so why are manufacturers getting this so wrong? (Aside from the marketing BS and saving a few cents through the use of digital displays). Similarly, we now have ridiculous sized alloys and low profile tyres at a time when our roads are the worst they've been since before ww2. Yet prices are becoming ever more ridiculous.

  4. Thank you Harry for that. I think I'd much rather something out of the Alfa Romeo stable, which is less expensive with a sportier (albeit stiffer, as you mentionned) ride. Also, and I know it's subjective, I feel like Maserati products definitely miss the styling mark by a large margin, somewhat gawdy, especially from the front and front quarter. The rear is better. The interior styling isn't to my liking either. I do find Alfa Romeo does styling far better than any Stellantis product and (of course my opinion) better than all other premium & luxury brands in this day and age of overstyled hyper-futuristic overly tech-relyant brands.

I do like the powertrains Maserati offers, and I don't mind that Nettuno note, but I do agree that it's far from the older V8s with well-endowed engine characteristics for which Ferrari/Maserati were so well known for. For smaller engines, I'd simply choose an Alfa product.

    Enjoy your cars!

  5. I remain surprised at how good Maserati's have become – if not this one vs Harry's older car. There's no substitute for CCs, especially without turbos! However for at least the next 12 months and probably longer, it will all be about MPG and NOT MPH !! I've just filled the F Pace – more than €100! – and will also be buying a 10 yr old small 5 door that's quoted as capable of 72mpg….that's 3 x what the F Pace does. Wonder what's the best MPG car in Harry's Garage?? – I recon I Know 😉

  6. I agree with you Harry, all these cars have too much built in safety features, I mean, really, who needs “Lane Assist”?
But – then we started driving in an age of Cross Ply Tyres! You soon learnt to control that wayward tail on the throttle, the more horse power- the more fun !! Kids these days are forced to drive, by insurance, cheap underpowered front wheel drive cars, which by design/ build, do not teach them how to drive more powerful rear wheel drive only cars.

  7. The facelift Ghibli rear lights and rear end on this looks like the Fiat Tipo. Simply can’t unsee it. Real unexpected poor design choices from Maserati

  8. My lease just ended on the same very grecale from 2023 and I bought the V8 levante. They changed the sound of the indicator for 2026 🙂 I was absolutely ok before… One important thing to mention is that Maserati just dropped all the deals they had on Trofeo models. They really used to subsidize leases for them. When I asked how much would be to end my lease and get a new one, they quoted me double! Same exact car with worse indicator sound. They explained that Maserati moved all deals to lower trims. So, you really need to be a fan to buy a Trofeo knowing that it cost a good third less for the same thing 2 years ago…
