The best-selling #Jeep in America gets a new heart and tech upgrades for 2026! The #JeepGrandCherokee has always been known as America’s #RangeRover and this year the #GrandCherokee benefits from a full refresh since this model came out in 2021. Powered by the all-new #Hurricane Turbocharged 4-cylinder, this powertrain promises to deliver V8 levels of acceleration with big improvements to NVH over the previous 2.0T engine.

Our driving impressions on the very new Hurricane4 motor left us pretty impressed! Its a big improvement over the old 2.0T engine and a nice upgrade from the standard Pentastar V6. Those of you who still want more power, we have a feeling we might be seeing a V8 and perhaps even the 3.0L Twin-Turbo I-6 finds its way under the hood at some point.
ohh je, wie kann man so eine Große Marke so schlecht machen 🤦♂🤦♂
love the styling not sure about the engineering
this eng. is the same as a hand granate it will go KAFUCKEN BOOM if you drive it a bit to hard.
Owned a Grand Cherokee since 1998. Jeep made these ugly! What happened to the V8? Not a Jeep. Trying to compete with Range Rover. Get back to the rugged/luxury Jeep. Look at Toyota and Lexus models.
Got to say, very good looking car.
Towing 6200 pounds? With a four-cylinder? Good luck with that long-term.
How long can that four-cylinder possibly last pulling around that much weight? This is not going to be a 150,000 mile vehicle. But Jeep doesn’t care about that. As long as it makes it past the warranty., They’re good with it. These vehicles are great to lease. But you do not want to own them long-term.
The redesign, the update, it’s almost nothing. At least on the outside. They could have done more to the exterior to update it. You cannot tell the difference.
This are 🔥🔥🔥 powerful and saves me gas I'm definitely here for it
Looks like the direct competitor is the Honda passport. The Honda passport has 8.3 inches of ground clearance and the grand Cherokee has 9.4.
I know I can sleep in the Honda while camping, but I haven’t checked out the new grand Cherokee yet.
I wouldn’t even consider it if I’m not comfortably able to sleep in it.
How would you rate the 2026 Jeep Grand Cheokee for road noise? Also if including a towing package, does it compromise the comfort in terms of the suspension? The report a self leveling feature, so hopefully it still takes the road well while towing.
Popular opinion, WK2 is/was better. They should have kept the style, the frame and improve individual components, not change for the sake of changing.
It's trash, WJ/WK were the last real Grand Cherokees
The Grand Cherokee needs to move up to 22-in rims This is b*****
And this is really making me angry where is the overland model why are they messing up the lineup
So this part really makes me angry because I'm not saying that that four cylinder engine that they put in this is not good but it's not good that you want to charge almost $60,000 or over $60,000 for a summit reserve model that has a four-cylinder when it should have that three liter hurricane v6 that has 420 horsepower
Since 07 they've had electrical/trannie issues, how do you keep selling a car like this it's almost 20 years, b!! With that being said a very nice looking car but I would worry too much about the upkeep and the major issues it still has.
Diesel diesel diesel please
I have owned a 2014 and have a 2020
And won't be buying a 4 pot
Les power and torque
Les towing
Not as economic
Wayne
currently own one, the infotainment sucks, spotty connection when playing music and its very very noticeable. the lag is worse than my time with the 4xe gc and the haptic touch buttons are horrendous.
Run the opposite direction from any Stellantis Creatures 😅
Only a 2.0T now. They have a 3.0 but they think even that is too big? I’m glad my mom got the last year of the V6 in her summit. I can’t believe even a V6 is too much to ask for now in a 5,000 lb suv, but they still want $70,000. That’s a scam.
I just test drove a 2026 with the new 4-cylinder… The turbo lag was atrocious off the line. I tried about a dozen times to launch smoothly with different amounts of accelerator input… It's impossible. You push the foot pedal, it essentially does nothing for about 2 seconds, then it takes off so quickly it bounces your head into the headrest. Once you get moving it's a strong engine and it sounds better than the V6. I was planning on buying a 2027 summit
.. if this is the only engine available, there's no way I'm buying one. At least offer the old Pentastar in All trim levels.. it's a completely competent engine. I realize the inline 6 won't fit, but I can't understand why they're not offering the 5.7 at all. Big mistake Stellanis !!!
Wow! Kewl engine
Video starts at 15:06. V8 power? You got to be kidding.
Huge missed opportunity not offering Hurricane I6
They need to bring back the V8!
That's a lot of money from a Fiat.
JUNK ON WHEELS!!!!!
Just want to chime in that my 2007 jgc laredo wk1 3.7 just surpassed 253k and still runs good! Ok back to this video 🤓
The body colored panels make this look so good.
That engine on a nice redesign neon SRT4 could be what saves Dodge. On a Grand Cherokee is disappointing.
makes me feel so lucky to have my 23’ overland hemi lmao
Will there be a Trackhawk model?
Thank you for the review content.
I’m pretty good with my 22 4xe Reserve. Got a heck of a deal on it used with 31k miles. 79k new to 36k used. The only thing I’d complain about is the 4 cyl sound 🙄. I love that blue color though! 🥰 Oops…. I’d also complain about the McIntosh sound system and the bar between the taillights should be a taillight as well. I know that had to have been their original idea, but they ax’d it last minute. 🙄🙄
Who sat in a meeting and decided we (the customers) wanted 4cylinder in big suv
Shoulda put the inline 6 in it
Beautiful truck however I would never…ever…consider buying this with a 4cyl in this type/size of truck… period. I currently own two over priced Jeep products and honestly I love them, bought both of them brand new. It is really its a shame that bad decisions like this is and will continue hurting Stelantis's bottom line. I will not be buying this.
Great job Jeep, the only problem I have is that it only comes with block interior. 😢
It's like stelantis WANTS Jeep to go out of business
Once I heard "shares with Maserati and the Alfa Romero" I was out.
This vehicle weighs almost 5000 pounds; powering this with a 2.0 4 cylinder engine thats the size of a shoe box, is inexcusable! PERIOD! I don't care how much power it produces and how many turbo chargers it has on it. The size and weight of this Jeep overwhelmingly over matches the size of this engine; so out of character for a big vehicle of this caliber, it's not even funny. Not to mention a $54,000 price tag- NOPE! $ Four cylinder engines are already under a lot stress and pressure, then adding turbo charges to it increases the pressure and stress on the engine exponentially. Now add 5000 pounds to move around-NOPE! If you're going to buy this Jeep, plan on being in the shop at the dealership once month, at least. I've owned 3 Grand Cherokees, one with the 350 cubic inch V8 in it (LOOVED that one…WHEWWW, LOTS of POWER ). The other 2 Grand Cherokee's I owned had the bullet proof, venerable 3.6 liter, 300 horsepower V6 engine. The 3.6 V6 was excellent! I never wanted for more power. There is no replacement for displacement, sorry. Putting a diminutive engine in a Jeep Grand Cherokee is not only completely out of character, but flat out NEGLIGENT!
It looks absolutely fantastic. But you would be better off with any 2010 – 2024 4Runner if you want to avoid mechanical and electronic problems. This 2L turbo will never see 400k on the odometer unless the engine and transmissions are replaced at least twice. But mileage is probably pretty great. Looks cool.
Inline 4? Get TF out!
