  1. Plug-in hybrids are you kidding me either all gas or all electric there’s no way I’m having two systems in a vehicle. That’s ridiculous.

  2. PHEV's give you 90% of the economy of an EV without the range anxiety. I'll never understand why Chevy discontinued the Volt I guess they just wanted to give Toyota a bigger share of the market. LOL.😄

  3. It doesn't matter because the dealerships will mark these up with add ons. My fellow consumers, please stop supporting dealerships that mark up their vehicles. It hurts everyone in the long run.

  4. Yes, the new RAV 4 PHEV looks awesome! But the price is still too high. Maybe in a few years I will pick up a used one. Until then I still love my 2021 KIA PHEV, SX trim.

  5. Soooo with taxes and the e v mandate applied, you're still over $50,000 for a base toyota rav 4. I'm struggling to see the real savings here. As usual great video guys!!

  6. I no longer look at our care about Toyotas. Always add ons never available to drive or see what you're buying and months or years waiting list. Hope everyone enjoy there Toyota. There great cars but I like to see and drive what I'm buying without getting ripped off.

  7. This is what I am talking about. Toyota is still preferred regular hybrid over Electric focus hybrid. They been sitting on their 8ss for 20 years. And then dealership will ruin the transaction.

  8. Overall, a great option in the segment (although I think they should ditch the basically useless 3rd row). As you mentioned in your previous video though, Toyota has really come to the table with aggressive pricing on their PHEV RAV4 as well. That said, it's good to have options and this looks like a decent choice in the segment that many people seem to be happy with so that is always a good thing.

  9. Don't buy a hybrid. Even if the purchase price doesn't reflect the extra complexity of two drive trains, the maintenance costs ultimately will. Hold out for real EVs. The oil companies and the auto manufacturers want to delay that as much as possible.

  10. I recently rented a 2024 Toyota Kluger while vacationing in Australia. This is the Australian version of the Highlander. I was shocked how dated this thing was and totally gutless. I guess it was a four cylinder with the hybrid feature. I was worried that it could even make it up some of the steep hills. The steering was all over the road. I really felt that this car design and ride was from the 1990’s. They may be reliable but otherwise not a nice vehicle.

  11. Sorry guys. You've been carrying a lot of water for Toyota lately but this is a bit much. Any model aside from the stripper SE trim (which as you previously noted doesn't even have TPMS) is over $60K Cdn sticker, and given the practice of pirate-like Canadian Toyota dealers you're probably looking at another $5K on top of that after their mandatory add-ons. With sales tax we are talking a $70K vehicle. That is insane for something like this with a plastic fantastic interior and a subpar driving experience. I know you have to say nice things to keep on their good side but this thing is very overpriced.

  12. I waited 3 years 8 months for mine, just got it late December. Bummer that there's a newer looking one, that's also better, and also cheaper, but that's how it goes. I'm ready for an EV now anyways, a lot has changed in the market in that 4 years. If you can charge at home and not quite ready for an EV it's a great vehicle though.

  13. I'm surprised for the price of the things they don't make it a mini-landcruiser inside. They'd probably fetch over Lexus price at this point people are so crazy over these things.

  14. Saw my first 2 RAV4’s. Talk about low rent exterior design, I am not talking ugly I am talking econo car vibes. Looks worse in person than video. Not premium at all and yet you pay for it.

  15. Can someone please build a regular car (not SUV) with no bells and whistles that is reliable? I don't care about touchscreens and all this tech. My dad had a 1992 Honda Accord that was the best car ever. He had it for 20 years! That's what we need. I know car companies say people want SUVs and all this tech but clearly there is a sizable number of people who would rather a cheap car. A car is to move you around. That's it! -T

  16. they may be popular but it's silly in this day and age to still buy a complicated PHEV system over an all electric. Ask any long time EV owner and you'll know that range anxiety is a thing of the past.
